MUMBAI: Strengthening its alliance for the third year in a row, Big FM in association with Star India Pvt Ltd has announced the ‘Big Star Entertainment Awards’.
The awards have established themselves as a unique platform that gives audiences the opportunity to nominate and vote for their favourite entertainers across 31 categories spanning across music, films, television, dance and sports.
The categories in the music genre include ‘Most Entertaining Singer Male’, ‘Most Entertaining Singer Female’ and ‘Most Entertaining Song’ amongst others. A special category titled ‘Most Entertaining Actor in a Social Role Male’ and ‘Most Entertaining Actor in a Social Role Female’ has been introduced into the awards this year.
The winners will be selected on the basis of online and SMS votes sent by Big FM listeners and Star Plus viewers from across the country. The voting process has commenced from today and the winners will be felicitated in a ceremony scheduled to be held on 16 December in Mumbai. The show will subsequently be aired on 31 December as a ‘New Year Special’ on Star Plus.

The Big Star Entertainment Awards 2012 will be promoted through a 360 degree marketing campaign which will integrate Reliance Broadcast Network Limited’s multimedia platforms including radio, television and outdoor coupled with print, digital initiatives and on-ground activations.
