Bhushan Kumar: Yo Yo Honey Singh is the only choice for 'Desi Kalakaar'

MUMBAI: T- Series head honcho, Bhushan Kumar launched Yo Yo Honey Singh's latest album 'Desi Kalakaar', after working closely together on a number of films. The album comprises seven tracks including the title song 'Desi Kalakaar', which was also launched on the same day. The rapper revealed that each of the seven tracks have been handpicked by Kumar.

When asked about the reason for launching the album so late, Kumar stated, “Artistes, for a few years now, had stopped giving good music. But since we have Yo Yo Honey Singh now, we decided to launch the album. I think we should support albums the way we support music.” Kumar revealed that it was not difficult for him to pull out songs from Honey Singh's bank of composed music as he has constantly delivered hits over the last few years.

In an era where albums are history, Kumar is confident that 'Desi Kalakaar' will get good responses. “I do not know about the rest of the world, but I have full conviction in Yo Yo. I wanted to take our relation with him a step forward, thus we have launched an album,” said Kumar.

Speaking about his album, Yo Yo Honey Singh said, ''Desi Kalakaar' is my transition from a rapper to a singer. The first song is with Sonakshi Sinha and I want to thank her for being part of this album. The interesting part about the songs from 'Desi Kalakaar' is that they are not just songs but short films, which is something new. I have worked very closely with Bhushan Kumar and we have managed to give some super hit songs together. They always give the necessary creative freedom to the artiste which I really appreciate."

Also the rapper turned down rumours of signing another film. He is giving himself a decade for getting nominated for the Grammy Awards. “I have just started singing from this album so I l believe that there is a lot to learn," he concluded.
