MUMBAI: Having received widespread acclaim for his singing skills, actor-singer Ayushmann Khurrana is fast gaining popularity as the upcoming singer in bollywood. After enthralling fans with his songs in Vicky Donor and Nautanki Saala, the singer will now lend his voice for a song in YRF's upcoming romantic comedy.
The yet untitled film will be produced under the Yash Raj banner and will be directed by Nupur Asthana, starring Khurrana, Sonam Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor in pivotal roles.
The fun-filled satire has been written by versatile writer/director Habib Faisal. This will be Asthana’s second film for the studio, after her successful directorial debut last year with ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’, under the Y Films banner.
Speaking to media persons at an event, Khurrana said, “My next film with YRF, as you all know it’s on recession. The film stars Sonam Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor. As of now, I am singing one song in this film.”
The film is slated for a 2013 release.
