Apeksha Dandekar debuts on TV with Coke Studio@MTV- season 2

MUMBAI: Singer-songwriter Apeksha Dandekar who is trying to  make  a mark  in music industry as a live artist and playback singer, is all set to make her television debut with Coke Studio @ MTV Season 2.

Dandekar will feature in Karsh Kale’s Coke Studio episode schedule to air on 11August.  Speaking about her experience, she said, “Coke Studio @ MTV was a musical journey and a meeting of musical minds. Karsh was very open and approachable as a musician and as a person. It was awesome sharing ideas with everyone and experiencing each learning curve in an attempt to create something new.”

The songwriter will render track Peekaboo in collaboration with singer Benny Dayal, rapper Mandeep Sethi, and ‘Shedding Skin.’ The episode will also feature female ensemble of Shruti Pathak, Monali Thakur and Shilpa Rao.

Commenting on collaboration, music director Karsh Kale said, "Apeksha is supremely talented and a versatile singer. She not only sings in Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi and English, she also sings in many different styles including Hindustani Classical, rhythm & blues, and hip-hop, she does it all with utter sincerity and authenticity. Apeksha represents the next generation of forward thinking artists."

Earlier, Dandekar had lent her voice to films such as F.A.L.T.U, Bheja Fry 2 and Always Kabhi Kabhi. She had also collaborated with IshQ Bector on his album and has also worked with music directors Sachin-Jigar and Avadhoot Gupte. She started her career along with her sister Anushka Dandekar in a band named Dmajor.
