MUMBAI: Talented singer Anushka Manchanda, who shot to fame with ‘Dum Maro Dum’, has composed a video track for American television drama Grey’s Anatomy. The series is schedule to air from 4 September on Star World at 10pm.
The track ‘What would you do’ depicts the essence of the series which centres on the title character Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and her life at the hospital.
Speaking about the track with Radioandmusic.com Manchanda said, “I like the way the song as well as the series of Grey’s Anatomy relates to the reality of life. It showcases the daily ups and down which is common in your or my life. The song depicts the same feel and gives the synopsis of the series a simple message. I like the way Meredith character has been portrayed as it has its own flavour in a way she handles her professional and personal life. We can all relate to those real life issues.”
The music encompasses the theme of the series and would be played digitally before the season commences.
Grey’s Anatomy was premiered in 2005 on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). The series has aired eight seasons, and focuses on the fictional lives of surgical interns and residents, as they gradually evolve into seasoned doctors, while trying to maintain personal lives. It was among the top-ten rated shows in the United States from its first through fourth seasons. In 2011, Grey's Anatomy was named the fourth-highest revenue earning show, in terms of advertising per half-hour.
