Amit Trivedi: Kai Po Che music is based on relationships

MUMBAI: Kai Po Che based on Chetan Bhagat’s ‘The 3 Mistakes of My Life’, is receiving good reviews for its soulful music album composed by talented Amit Trivedi. Abhishek Kapoor has succeeded in catching the attention of public with the music of the film.

Kai Po Che (a Gujarati phrase meaning I Have Cut) has three tracks penned by Swanand Kirkire. Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Trivedi said, “All the songs are based on relationships and bonding. Manja is a really beautiful track, while Meethi Boliyaan and Shubhaarambh are also very soothing and melodious.” Trivedi- Kirkire team has earlier created some impressive music together for films like English Vinglish and Striker.

Besides Trivedi, Mili Nair, Mohan Kanan, Shruti Pathak and Divya Kumar have rendered for the film. Recently, there were reports that Kai Po Che's Berlin world premiere, held on 13 Feb received an overwhelming response. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, the film features Sushant Singh Rajput, Raj Kumar Yadav, Amit Sadh and Amrita Puri in lead roles. Kai Po Che, produced by UTV Motion Pictures, will hit theaters on 22 February.

Moreover, music of Bombay Talkies composed by Trivedi is all set to release next month. The album consist of five tracks.
