Adnan Sami to release album after five years

MUMBAI: Bollywood playback singer Adnan Sami is set to release a new solo album after a gap of five years. The new album ‘Press To Play’ due to release on 13 January 2013 will be the first under Universal Music India (UMGI) with whom Sami has signed a worldwide deal.

In a joint release issued by Sami and Universal, Sami said, “I'm very excited that after a long gap of five years my new studio album is ready for release. It's been an amazing journey where I was able to revisit my musical roots,

The album will have new material which is a mix of signature Sami ballads and up-tempo humour laced songs- all retaining Adnan’s unmistakable proficiency in achieving the perfect blend of lyrics and melody, Universal Music said.

Pakistan origin Sami broke into onto the Indian music scene in 1999 with ‘Kabhi Toh Nazar Milao’ and ‘Life Karadey’. His second album ‘Tera Chehra’  is also claimed to be the biggest selling independent album in India and the biggest selling Indian album of all time.
