MUMBAI: Indian tabla maestro and classical music composer Shree Kumar Bose received the prestigious Master Dinanath Award in the field of music. The event spearheaded by Adinath Mangeshkar was held in Mumbai recently.
The awards ceremony also marked the launch of Lata Mangeshkar's ‘Gayatri Mantra’ album and Avantika Magazine, the first ever magazine on performing arts and Indian classical music and dance. The nightingale has released an album after a span of two years.
Madhuri Dixit Nene was honoured with the Aadishakti Award in the field of acting and other winners of the coveted title included actor Vikram Gokhale, theatre artiste Vasantrao Deshpande, socialite Prasad Devdhar and writer SL Bhyrappa.
The event witnessed luminaries like Lata Mangeshkar, Bal Thackeray, Udhav Thackeray and Anu Malik amongst others.
