Slacker Radio Showcases Mobile App for Nokia Smartphones

MUMBAI: Slacker, Inc. today unveiled an upcoming Slacker Radio mobile app for new Symbian Nokia smartphones. Music lovers in the United States and Canada will be able to listen to their favorite Slacker Radio stations on their supported Nokia smartphone. The free Slacker Radio app will be available at  Nokia's Ovi Store or by visiting www.Slacker.com from any supported Nokia smartphone.

Nokia smartphone owners will have the ability to enjoy the Slacker music experience, including the ability to create custom music stations based on a favorite song, artist or mix of artists, over 130 expert-programmed Slacker genre, seasonal and spotlight stations, and station fine-tuning, which allows listeners to personalize each station based on their own music tastes.

The free Slacker Radio application, developed using the Qt application development framework, is planned for launch in the Ovi store in February 2011  Supported handsets will include the Nokia N8, along with other new Nokia smartphones featuring the new Symbian operating system  Slacker will be showcasing the application at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.
