RJ Simran invited to talk at Ogilvy

MUMBAI: Delhi's favorite Radio Jockey was invited at Ogilvy to talk about Radio as an effective medium for advertisers. Ogilvy organized this special talk on understanding the medium of Radio for their both creative and advertising and marketing team. This lecture was targeted towards making Client Servicing team and Key account managers aware of the media for effective client pitching. The talk also benefited the creative team to understand the medium better and develop a creative according to radio characteristics.

Simran is On Air Talent, as many would also know; Simran has been the Programming Head of Radio Mirchi and the Creative Director of Red Fm. It was this extract of 14 years of radio experience that made her the best choice for this talk. She also is a Director of Academy of Radio Management; South Asia's 1st full time broadcast school and thus make her the best researched person to talk on Radio.

Points discussed during the talk included -Radio as a blind medium and using this medium to create waves could be quite a tricky challenge an advertiser might face.

It is important for an ad agency to understand the radio media in and out, notice the changes that has occurred within radio after the private FM scenario coming and How Advertising and Sales Champaign merged with programming of radio media promote a brand.

She emphasized on the fact that and message delivered through radio needs to be clear even though it might mean that some creative approaches could be out of the window , as it is a background medium. It is a medium of masses �Aam admi' medium and niche is still a topic that has not been touched yet. This Simran Talk... gave ideas to young aspiring trainees and enhanced knowledge base of established executives of the prestigious Ad. agency.
