MUMBAI: Makar Sankranti, a very auspicious festival for Maharashtrians, is celebrated with great fanfare across the state. And why would Mumbai's most loved radio station be left behind? Red FM today, celebrated Makar Sankranti with all its RJ's and listeners, at a suburban club in Mumbai.
To participate, all that listeners had to do was send an SMS, to be invited to participate in a kite flying competition, with RJ's Malishka, Tarun, Nyssha, Rohini, Mantra and Neil.
More than 50 listeners were invited to join in the celebration and fly kites with their favorite RJ's. Four teams were led by RJ's Malishka, Mantra, Rohini and Neil. Professional kite flyers were also present to prepare them for the ultimate kite duel also known as �pench'.
After a rigorous dav pench between the teams; the competition came to a draw between RJ Malishka's and RJ Mantra's teams.
All listeners were gifted fabulous Red FM goodie bags and til gud ladoos at the end of fabulous kite flying competition.
