MUMBAI: Chennai’s leading FM radio station Radio City embarks on CSR initiative – Kalvikku Kai Kuduppom. In a bid to help underprivileged children, Radio City is collecting stationery like notebooks, pens, pencils, school uniforms to be distributed amongst the children. Drop boxes have been installed all over the city to collect the stationery.

This is the second edition of Kalvikku Kai Kuduppom that was started last year. The initiative met success in the first year itself with people donating generously to help the needy. This year the activity was kick-started by popular actor Surya who urged Chennaites to do their best to help the children. Listeners can donate at any of the drop boxes installed around the city and at the Radio City office.

Radio City has always taken an initiative to reach out to the underprivileged. The toys collected in the ‘Limca Book’ record maker ‘Golu’, last Navratri, were also distributed amongst children from certain orphanages.
