Nine FM organizes Blood Donation Camp on Netaji's Birthday

MUMBAI: NINE FM the �Young and Contemporary FM' of North Bengal and Sikkim organized a Blood Donation Camp on 23rd January at NINE FM office to celebrate the birth anniversary of our freedom fighter, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

The blood donation camp was organized under the expert supervision of health officials of The Rotary Club of Siliguri. NINE FM encouraged listeners on and off-air to donate blood and help those in need. This initiative was to strengthen the bond between fellow Indians by helping those in need.
Volunteers started coming in from 10 o'clock in the morning and continued till 6 o'clock in the evening. The entire NINE team took part in the blood donation camp.

Live interview of the officials of The Rotary Club of Siliguri and the blood donors were also aired on NINE on 91.9FM. Last year also NINE FM had organized a voluntary blood donation camp on the same day.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the great revolutionarist of India motivated the youth during the turbulent times of India during The British Regime with his famous slogan – �Give me blood and I shall give you freedom'. Remembering and honoring Netaji NINE on 91.9FM chose his birth anniversary to follow the path of our leader by donating blood.

NINE FM has also joined hands with the North Bengal Dental College to organize yet another voluntary blood donation camp in an attempt to serve the nation. This blood donation camp will be held on 28th January 2010 at the college premise.

Games
