Music Concert #039Basantosav#039 from Mar 12

MUMBAI: Three-day Music Concert "Basantosav" would be organised under the aegis of Non Government Organisation (NGO) Cultural Organisation Abhinav Kala Parishad from March 12 to 14 at the premises of Manas Bhawan, Shyamla Hills (near Polytechnic Square) on the occasion of 46th anniversary of the organisation.

Around 11 prominent young musicians from all over the country as well as abroad have been invited for taking part in the programme. The first music concert would be organised on March 12 and Spines Gitar Player from Germany and Musician Maithiyas Mauler and prominent Veena Player from Jaipur (Veenakar Gharane) Salil Bhatt would present Fusion, music tradition of Indo-German. The prominent Tabla Player Farukhabad Gharane Akram Khan will be present as special musician.

The famous classical dancer of Raigarh, Lucknow and Puswa Gharane Ms V Anuradha Singh would perform Kathak Dance. The prominent classical singer of Gwalior and Kirana Gharane Ms Mahalaxmi (resident of Karkala city, Karnataka State) would present Indian Classical Song on March 13. The prominent classical dancers of Jaipur Gharane Ms Leena Malakar and Ms Purnima Rai (Shree Ram Bharati Kala Kendra, Delhi) would perform Classical Kathak Dance.

The popular singer Sagar Kendurkar, Mumbai and Ms Mona Damle of Indore would present Film Songs on March 14 on the occasion of concluding ceremony of the three-day music concert. The secretary of Parishad Pundit Suresh Tanted said that the musicians have been invited by the Abhinav Kala Parishad and the scholars would be felicitated by "Abhinav Art Award" (Abhinav Kala Samman). The programme would be organised for music lovers and audience and entry will be free of cost.
