MUMBAI: Reliance Broadcast Network's radio arm 92.7 BIG FM and Idea Cellular, the pan India mobile operator, recently announced the �IDEA BIG BANGLA MUSIC AWARDS 2010', an exclusive platform to recognize and celebrate outstanding talent in Bangla Music. The awards are instituted as a mark of respect to the music loving people of Bengal by Kolkata's favorite radio station 92.7 BIG FM.

The IDEA BIG BANGLA MUSIC AWARDS 2010 which were launched on 19th July, 2010 are now all set to reach out to the lakhs of people through prolonged on-ground activation covering the areas of all busy joint of Kolkata. Kick starting from August 1, 2010 the promotions will witness the best of the Bangla music industry come forward to campaign and celebrate music 

To reach out to maximum people the promotions for the awards will be taken on – ground with canter activations in and around Kolkata as well as ballot boxes placed at all My Idea outlets and other alliance outlets over a 10 day period. Nomination forms will be given out encouraging people to vote for their favorite songs and artists; this will be coupled with excellent gratification ranging music CD's and other collaterals for the voters. The canter will travel across Kolkata covering lakes of music lovers across busy routes like Saltlake to Bangur, Shyambazar to Paikpara, Beliaghata to Manicktala, Esplanade to Minto Park, New Alipore to Thakurpukur, Hazra to Jodhpur Park, Howrah to Sithimore and other parts of the city 

Various on ground contests & games will be carried out for the audience, enabling them to participate and win invitation cards for the very prestigious star studded IDEA BIG BANGLA MUSIC AWARDS night. People participating will be encouraged to campaign their favorite songs and vote for the first ever Bengali musical awards. The finale of IDEA BIG BANGLA MUSIC AWARDS is scheduled to be held on August 13, 2010 at the Science City Auditorium.
