MUMBAI: India's favorite radio station, 94.3 MY FM decided to celebrate the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday in a unique manner on October 2, 2010 as CSR initiative with a mix of on air and on ground activities across stations. The radio station organized a weeklong activity wherein the entire focus was on creating awareness & shaming' those who break traffic rules by adopting Gandhigiri....

MY FM also indulged into on ground activities in Chandigarh and Bhopal. The FM station targeted the citizens of these cities to make them understand their responsibilities towards their city. Instead of punishing the citizens for breaking the traffic rules, MY FM RJ's felicitated them with garlands and the famous Jaddu ki Jhapi. They adopted this form of Gandhigiri on ground to educate the citizens about the necessity of following the traffic rules for a safe and secure city.

The on ground and on air activity was culminated on October 2, 2010, when all on air shows followed the same motto of Gandhigiri and the socially responsible RJ's went on ground for live shows. The impact of the on ground activity further strengthened MY FM's connect with listeners by making their city a safer & better place for all.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Harrish M. Bhatia, CEO, 94.3 MY FM said, We are very hopeful that due to this effort of MY FM, we would be able to bring about significant change & make sure that the citizens follow the rules and regulations and further enhance the beauty of their cities. Spreading the spirit of Jiyo Dil Se, we are positive that the activity will surely bring out the passion that each resident exudes towards the betterment of their city....
