92.7 BIG FM celebrates #039Constitution of Music#039 on Republic Day

MUMBAI: On the occasion of India's 61st Republic Day, 92.7 BIG FM, the radio initiative of Reliance Broadcast Network Limited (RBNL) has planned a special event called 'Constitution of Music.' where kids across 45 cities will go on-air and sing unplugged version of our national song �Vande Mataram'. The song dedicated to our very own mother India and its beauty will ensure the feeling of patriotism spreads across the nation through this small initiative by 92.7 BIG FM.

'Constitution of Music' is an effort to touch base with ones inner self and realise the importance of republic India. The BIG idea behind the event is to call children from across the country to come together, showcase their patriotism and salute the spirit of being Indian. Children will be auditioned in their individual cities where the station ropes in a well known local celebrity to judge them. 3 lucky contestants across each city will get the opportunity to sing individually at 92.7 BIG FM station on the 26th of January.

Enthusiastic listeners can also be a part of this initiative through SMS. SMS will be sent across all the cities inviting participation from the listeners. Readers will be asked to SMS �Vande Mataram' & their name to 55454 for participation. 19 children will be selected across the nation and will be called to Mumbai to be a part of �Constitution of music.' The multi faced artist and a young entrepreneur Raghav Sachar who has given music for films like Kabul Express, 1 2 3 , Sunday, Daddy cool and many more and who has recently done the latest version of Vande Mataram will judge the children on their singing capability and will announce the winner on 27th January 2011.

It's a salute to the 61st year of Indian constitution; as part of the event all the stations across the country are running teasers, promos as well as RJ mentions to invite children to come on-air and sing an unplugged version of the song Vande Mataram. The objective of this activity is to spread awareness and to educate people about �Vande Mataram' and its significance to Indian heritage.
