Each year the New York Festivals celebrates the World’s Best Radio Programs™, and salutes those award-winning entries from around the globe that engage their audience with creativity and innovation. Now in its 30th year, the competition honors the most original work in radio broadcasting, with entries from radio stations, networks, and independent producers from around the world.

New York Festivals, in collaboration with the United Nations Department of Public Information, honors entries that exemplify the aims and ideals of the United Nations.  Juan Carlos Brandt, Chief of Advocacy & Special Events for the United Nations Department of Public Information will present the 2012 UNDPI Awards at the New York Festivals International Radio Program & Promotion Awards.
