MUMBAI: Strengthening its offerings for the mass market, cellphone maker Nokia has expanded its Asha series with the launch of two touch-screen models ‘Asha 308’ and ‘Asha 309’.
The devices are embedded with 3-inch capacitive touchscreen, 400x240 pixels, Nokia OS, 1110 mAh battery, 2 MP rear camera, and 64 MB internal memory. Syndicated with black and the gold colour, Asha 308 is enhanced with expandable 32GB microSD card and dual-Sim support.
Asha 308 and 309 will be available from the the fourth quarter of 2012 and is priced at $99, excluding taxes and subsidies.
The company has also released an upgraded version of Nokia Xpress Browser, which is claimed to enable up to 90 per cent more efficient mobile browsing and faster access to web applications compared to conventional browsers.
