HTC rolls outs HTC Tattoo handset

MUMBAI: HTC Corporation has launched launched the HTC Tattoo, an Android-based handset. It is the first phone that can be customized inside and out. With its distinct design and ability to personalise all aspects of the phone, from its hardware to its applications and content, users will be able to express themselves and create their own individual mobile experience.

With its 2.8-inch QVGA display, the handset is optimized for Web, multimedia and other content. It integrates GoogleTM's innovative mobile services like Google SearchTM, Google MailTM, and Android MarketTM where users can download many of popular applications and games. It also boasts of a broad variety of hardware features including a 3.2 megapixel camera, 3.5mm stereo headset jack and expandable microSD memory.

The handset also integrates communications and applications for users including voice calls, emails, texts, photos and status updates into one consolidated view, providing innovative and fun phone experiences.

HTC Tattoo empowers its owner to personalize it in a simple yet powerful manner and enjoy a most distinct mobile experience" said HTC India country head Ajay Sharma.

As part of its initiative to encourage internet access through mobile devices, telecom operator Vodafone Essar has announced an exclusive offer with this launch. Vodafone customers who purchase an HTC Tattoo phone will get an exclusive offer to browse the internet and download 20MB of data per month free for a period of 3 months. Vodafone's exclusive offer is available to its customers across the country on purchase of the HTC Tattoo phone till 31 January, 2010.

Said Vodafone Essar CEO Kumar Ramanathan, "We are delighted to provide this exclusive offer to our customers. We recognize devices like the HTC Tattoo enable greater internet connectivity and heavier data usage, and we hope our customers will enjoy the experience with this free data plan."

The handset will be available at a market operating price of Rs. 18,400 in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh and Rs. 16,990 in the rest of India at all leading authorised HTC resellers across the country.
