Asus launches AIR3 iPod speaker with Internet radio

MUMBAI: Asus has announced the launch of Asus AIR3 high-definition speakers for iPod with Internet radio.

Offering natural, real and clear sound quality, the Asus AIR3 incorporates the HDSS (High Definition Sound Standard) certified speakers that support all iPods (not Shuffle), and the ETL (Embedded Transmission Line) module located inside the chambers to eliminate disruptive vibration.

In addition to music playback, it also powers the portable Apple iPod. It also gets connected to a TV or a LCD screen to watch video via S-Video.

To access internet radio, users need to utilize wired or wireless network and enjoy above 10,000 radio stations worldwide.

Apart from that, the iPod speaker with internet radio also comes equipped with a TI (Texas Instruments) class-D audio power amplifier TPA3120D2 that also volunteers to deliver outstanding audio performance.
It is compatible with UPnP-enabled application such as Windows Media Player 11 to access or stream audio files from a PC. The included Aux-In jack enables the AIR3 to get connected to multimedia players. Moreover, users will also get to access weather forecasts.

Some of the other features include 3.5-inch woofer, 1-inch Silk Dome Tweeter, 128 x 64 FSTN graphics display with white LED and support for MP3 / WMA audio formats.

The company has not yet announced the price or the launch date for the product.
