RAM Wk 5: Fever gains across 3 metros

* Fever pegs max growth in week 5 in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata

* BIG FM ahead of Radio City by slimmest of margins (0.10%) reaches #2 in Mumbai; Mirchi remains Number 1;

MUMBAI: 92.7 BIG FM, with a market share of 13.4%,  has reached the Number Two position in Mumbai with the slimmest of margins, a 0.10 market share lead over the now third-placed Radio City with 13.3%. This is per RAM ratings for Week 5 of 2011 (30 Jan to 5 Feb 2011) across all people 12+ at all places of listening. Traditional Mumbai leader Radio Mirchi retains the top spot with a market share of 16.5%. Separated as the Number 2, 3 and 4 stations of Mumbai are by wafer-thin margins, with Red FM at Number 4 with 12.2%, down 1 full percentage point over Week 4, it will be interesting to see whether BIG FM would have retained the initiative and remain at Number 2 per Week 6's ratings, or whether Radio City reclaims its spot. Meanwhile, Red FM, with 12.2% market share, is still within touching distance of the numbers two and three, and if its newly launched show Red Loudspeaker works as is being hoped it will, the next few weeks to come will be immensely interesting.

Meanwhile, Fever 104 FM has been the only station to peg growth across three of the four RAM metros, Mumbai (joint top growth station with 0.5%), Delhi (top growth station with 0.9%) and Kolkata, again top growth station with 0.6%.
