RAM Week 41: Red FM makes strides in 3 metros

MUMBAI: Red FM registered good increase in the listenership of their stations across three metros. Similarly, Mirchi and BIG FM too gained in three of the four metros, but Red's gains were comparatively the biggest.

Bangalore - Leader Big FM maintained lead in the city, gaining 0.1 point with a market share of 19.6 per cent. Both Radio Mirchi and Fever lost a considerable 0.4 points to end the week with 17.4 per cent and 15.2 per cent respectively. After losing few points last week, Radio City inched forward in week 41. It gained 0.3 points to end with 12.8 percent market share. AIR FM Rainbow lost 0.1 point to keep 9.6 per cent of share. Red FM notched 0.2 points to end the week 8.6 per cent. Radio One woes continued as the station lost few points this week as well. The station shed 0.3 points to end the week with 8 per cent of share.

Delhi - Radio Mirchi gained 0.1 point in the Capital to maintain lead at 24.3 per cent. At second spot Fever FM maintained status quo at 18.2 per cent. Air FM Gold lost 0.1 point to take away market share of 17.2 per cent. Red FM inched forward in the city as the station gained an impressive 0.6 points to end the week at 9.7 per cent market share. At fifth spot Radio City dropped 0.4 points to keep a market share of 8.5 per cent. Big FM added 0.2 points to its kitty to end with a share of 7.7 per cent. Radio One garnered 0.1 point in the city to end with a market share of 5.5 per cent. After a good performance last week, Oye! FM lost 0.3 points in week 41 to end with a share of 2.9 per cent.

Kolkata - Leader Radio Mirchi added 0.1 point to its market share to end the week with 20.8 per cent. At second spot Big FM lost 0.2 points to end with a share of 17.7 per cent. Friends FM saw a good run in week 41. The station added an impressive 0.5 points to take away a share of 11.8 per cent. Aamar FM remained static at 10.8 per cent. Similarly, both Fever and Red FM maintained status quo at 8.8 and 8.5 per cent respectively. Radio One lost 0.3 points in the city to keep 6.1 per cent of market share. Oye! FM inched forward with a considerable gain of 0.6 points and to end with a market share of 4.8 per cent.

Mumbai - Radio Mirchi added 0.1 point in the city at 17.6 per cent. The battle for second spot heated up as Red FM regained its second spot in the city. It added 0.4 points to end with a share of 13.6 per cent pushing Radio City behind at a close 13.5 per cent. City which maintained status quo in week 41 for third spot was followed by Big FM which gained 0.1 point at 11.9 per cent share. AIR FM Gold also remained static at 11.6 per cent. At sixth spot Fever gained 0.1 point to keep 11.3 per cent. Radio One saw a dip in numbers as it lost 0.7 points in week 41 to end with 5.9 per cent market share.
