Big FM takes back number one position from Radio City in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Big FM registered the highest market share of 17.9 per cent and TARP of 1.3 per cent in Mumbai, for week 35 (according to RAM statistics), taking back the top spot from Radio City, came in second, despite registering a market share that was much like the previous week.

In Mumbai, Radio City reported a market share of 17.3 per cent, TSL of 5.32 and TARP of 1.2 per cent for week 35. Fever FM held the third position, registering a market share of 14.3 per cent, TSL of 6.25 and TARP of 1 per cent, while Radio Mirchi maintained fourth position with a market share of 13.3 per cent, TSL of 4.11 and TARP of 0.9 per cent. In fifth position was Red FM with a market share of 11.5 per cent, TSL of 4.04 and TARP of 0.8 per cent. Big FM’s shows ‘Suhana Safar’ with Anu Kapoor, and ‘Breakfast Show’ with RJ Siddharth, reported the highest TARPs, 4.2 and 3.1 per cent, respectively in the city (25+ years).

In Delhi, Fever FM remained the unprecedented leader this week as well with a market share of 19.7 per cent, TSL of 4.36 and TARP of 1.4 per cent. Big FM came in second with a market share of 13.4 per cent, TSL of 3.43 and TARP of 0.9 per cent. Radio City maintained its third position in the city with a market share of 13.2 per cent, while Radio Mirchi and Red FM followed, with a shared market share of 12.2 per cent. Like last week, Big FM, Radio City, Radio Mirchi and Red FM reported a TARP of 0.9 per cent. Four Fever FM shows- ‘Evening Drive with RJ Nitin, ‘Full on Punjabi’ with RJ Avinash, ‘Dilli ke Do Dabang’ with RJ Manu and Abhilash, and ‘Zara Si Life’ with RJ Rhicha Vyas, reported the highest TARP in the city as compared to shows by the other networks.

There was no change among radio stations in Kolkata. Radio Mirchi remained in the top spot with a market share of 19.7, TSL of 4.38 and TARP of 1.6 per cent. Big FM took second place with a market share of 14.6 per cent, TSL of 4.37 and TARP of 1.2 per cent. In third, Fever FM registered a market share of 13.3 per cent, followed by Oye FM and Aamar FM, which reported market shares of 11.2 and 10 per cent, respectively. Two Radio Mirchi shows- ‘Kaali Kotha’ with RJ Jaganath and ‘Breakfast Show’ with RJ Mir, reported 4.8 per cent and 3.1 per cent TARP, respectively.

In Bengaluru, Radio City maintained its top position with a market share of 21.8 per cent, followed by Big FM in second place with a market share of 21.6 per cent. Both stations reported a TARP of 2.5 per cent. Radio Mirchi held the third spot with a market share of 17.4 per cent and TARP of 2 per cent, while Fever FM came in fourth with a market share of 13.1 per cent and TARP of 1.5 per cent. Big FM’s show ‘Big Coffee’ with RJ Shruti, reported highest TARP of 5.6 per cent in the city.
