Indigo's new shows to change the radio landscape

MUMBAI: It’s been a decade since India’s fourth international radio Indigo 91.9 has been entertaining its listeners. The station operating in Bengaluru and Goa is now all set to enter the new era in radio programming with the launch of new shows. Keeping up with the brand’s imagery of being one of the most innovative radio stations in the country, the new line-up offers the best content from across domains.

Keeping the listeners' personal interest and choices, the new content on Indigo will be hosted by domain experts, a professional singer hosting a Karaoke show, stand-up comedian hosting an evening show, fitness experts who take on the airwaves in the morning, and an international host RJ Ryan Seacrest hosting a show on global showbiz.

For the first time ever on radio, a stand-up comedian will be hosting the evening drive time show when Sundeep Rao takes over the mic. Bringing his unique style and dry humor on-air on The Drive with Sundeep Rao, the show airs from 5 pm onwards.

In the afternoons, yet another ground-breaking show has been launched with Kenishaa Francis - the finalist from The Stage. Keeping up with Kenishaa is the first sing-along show to be hosted, where Kenishaa engages and interacts with the listeners, bringing her singing talent to the fore as well as exploring the singing capabilities of listeners, giving them an opportunity and a platform to showcase their talents.

Not many radio stations can brag about having the world’s most renowned radio personality hosting one of their shows. However, Indigo has earned those bragging rights with their new show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest every day from 12 pm onwards. Simply one of the most influential, well-regarded, and well-known names in Hollywood, Ryan is the ideal Hollywood insider who always manages to have the biggest scoops and the most sought-after access to top events and celebrities.

On Saturdays, the radio station airs a travel show aptly called The Travel Bug. Presented by Indigo and Holiday IQ, the show is hosted by Hari Nair, CEO of Holiday IQ and RJ Evita, Travel Bug takes listeners on a trip to exotic places, providing them travel tips while exploring some of the best locales. Hari Nair shares his deep travel knowledge with listeners, ensuring that their next vacation will be their best one yet.

Indigo will be the one stop shop for listeners seeking answers to their new home buying needs with RJ Evita. She will be accompanied by Real Estate and Home Decor experts from the industry to discuss trends and show up the real estate world.

The other new weekly shows on Indigo include the popular Offsite with I919.
