The Dewarists Season 4 to premiere on Pepsi MTV Indies

MUMBAI: A brand new season of the critically acclaimed music travelogue- 'The Dewarists' will premiere next Saturday, 13 December on Pepsi MTV Indies. The bronze winning show at Cannes Lions 2012, brings together music artistes from different genres and takes them to a completely new place where neither have been before; and encourages them to compose a song inspired by the place.

In Season 4, the show pays homage to the original verse-makers/poets like Kabir, Amir Khusro, Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Rabindranath Tagore.This year poetry will meet music. The series boasts an array of artistes including folk-fusion duo Maati Baani made up by couple Nirali Kartik and Kartik Shah. They will be collaborating with fellow YouTube sensation Shankar Tucker and Vidya Iyer in the beautiful city of Sikkim. Season 4 will also feature artistes like Neeraj Arya's Kabir Café, with returning favourites Vishal Dadlani, Shantanu Moitra, Papon and The Raghu Dixit Project. 

The fourth season will see the series move to Pepsi MTV Indies, which was created to focus solely on independent music artistes across India and to bring them into the limelight. Previously, 'The Dewarists' aired on STAR World for the first two seasons and on MTV for the third.

'The Dewarists' also has a stage at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender, of which this year saw the biggest turnout as compared to other stages.

The Dewarists is directed by former Scribe front man and ad-filmmaker Vishwesh Krishnamoorty. It is produced by Babble Fish Productions, with support from Only Much Louder (OML) Entertainment.
