iTunes Match working on increasing cloud limit to 1 lakh songs for iOS 9

MUMBAI: iTunes Match, which currently allows 25 thousand non-iTunes purchased songs to be uploaded to the iCloud, is currently working on increasing the song limit to 1 lakh as part of the upgraded Apple software iOS 9. The news was revealed by Apple VP Eddy Cue via Twitter, when he was asked about the cloud limit.

Cue also revealed that when iOS 9 arrives later this year, iTunes Match will support up to 1,00,000 songs and Apple Music users will also get Match-like features, which means that users will be able to replace missing streaming music with their own tracks. Although Apple Music is set to launch tomorrow with a 25,000 song limit, it has been revealed that the music streaming service will also support 1,00,000 songs when iOS 9 comes out.

Apple Music is scheduled to launch 30 June, and will be free for the first three months.
