Hungama invited to Qualcomm Design and Wireless Innovation Summit

MUMBAI: Hungama.Com, Digital Entertainment Company becomes a part of Qualcomm Design and Wireless Innovation Summit.

Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Consumer business and allied services COO Siddhartha Roy said, "Hungama is presenting the 'advanced Hungama music app' which is powered by Snapdragon at the Summit. We are the only company from this part of the world who was invited to participate. It is us along with other international companies at the summit where we are showcasing how our services have been enhanced using the Qualcomm Reference Design which is based on Snapdragon."

This initiative of Hungama will continue to foster collaboration amongst the device manufacturers; software and hardware component providers with the aim of developing devices as well as exploring new business opportunities.

Roy said that they will build new business relationships with many other associates from hardware and digital entertainment ecosystems. Roy highlighted, "We are the largest music services in India and envisage to be the largest music services providers in South Asian region and providing the best consumer experience in any market outside India. We hope to achieve this with the advanced Hungama music app." In March 2013, Hungama had unveiled their music app for its Android, iOS and BB10 devices. The services provide users a rich audio and video experience from its catalogue of over two million songs.

Hungama will explore innovations powered by 4G LTE and the Qualcomm RF360 front end solution; regional software packages, modem configurations and testing for certain regional operator requirements; potential global opportunities to help international commercialisation; new wireless vertical opportunities; hands-on commercial technology across the Snapdragon portfolio, including 4K Ultra HD, advanced camera features and the latest in graphics technologies; and differentiation through software, including new options for Windows Phone, at the summit.

QTI product management VP Larry Paulson said, "The Qualcomm Reference Design (QRD) program by Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. offers industry-leading technical innovation, differentiated hardware and software and customisation options that are designed to help save engineering costs and accelerate development time. This is our fifth summit and it promises to be one of the most rewarding for the ecosystem that has developed around the QRD program."
