Biscoot Bajao's features set it apart from other music streaming services

MUMBAI: Biscoot Bajao is yet another music streaming portal that was launched in February this year. Apart from offering a variety of music, Bajao is also a music networking portal.

Shotformats Digital Productions MD and CEO, Niyati Shah said to Radioandmusic.com that good music is the key to the success of Biscoot Bajao. She added that the streaming site's key features make it different from other music streaming services.

"Apart from having good music, we have features like Joint Playlists which allows you to create playlists with friends, family and relatives. It permits up to 500 users creating one playlist together. Another feature is dedications, where you can dedicate music via social networking sites. Third is the customised radio, especially designed by the Bajao creative team to suit every mood, temperament and moment. Fourth would be Moods and Masters, which comprises classics by creative masters like Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar," she said.

Shah also added that the service has compilations where include a wide variety of hit tracks from SRK, Yo Yo Honey singh and many more.

Bajao's content is sourced from 79 major music labels in India. The prominent ones include T-Series, Times Music, Sony Music, Saregama HMV, Universal Music, Venus ,Ultra ,Eros Music, Aditya Music, Soor Mandir, Muskaan Audio (Punjabi Tracks), Bombay Tracks LLP, White Rose, Big Net, NK Productions (Assamese Music), Raj Mudra, SIMCA (South Music), Sony Magnasound, Agi Music (Tamil Music) and others.

To make Bajao user friendly the team ensured that the site did not become too heavy. "The user interface is very simple and easy to use. We believe that music is best served when it matches the moods of the person. We have incorporated the features like Drag and Drop which is a user can simply drag and drop a song to his playlist and Pre defined Queue: a pre-defined queue of the latest hit tracks for customers," she added.

The site derives major traffic from India, which is understandable, considering it offers music in a number of regional languages. "As of now, Bajao is focused on catering to Indian audiences since the content is mostly understood by Indian users," she concluded.
