Artist Aloud adds HarryÆs Bar and Cafe to its venue programming list, expanding in talent management space

MUMBAI: After programming venues like ‘O15's Cafe’ and ‘The little Door’, Artist Aloud has now partnered with Harry’s Bar and Café, and will curate some of the chain’s venues across Mumbai and Bengaluru.

The distribution company has already started curating Mumbai’s Juhu venue on Thursdays and two of its Bengaluru venues on Wednesdays and Fridays. “We are managing it pretty well, even though two venues are outside Mumbai. There is a strong team that is making this happen and we are happy with the way things are shaping up. We are directly interacting with venues and artistes. We are looking at this as an opportunity to help artistes get the right platform,” said Artist Aloud VP Soumini Sridhara Paul.

After being with Hungama Digital Media as the AVP for over six years, the company has now promoted Paul to the post of vice president. She will continue to head Artist Aloud, along with having additional responsibilities. Paul was made the VP on 1 March, and will be seen looking at developing special content creation for Hungama on YouTube.

She further added that programming venues is a challenge as there are budget constrains but that does not stop them from bringing in budding talents.

In the past few months, Artist Aloud has been experimenting with lot of new activities. Paul said, “Along with venue programming, we have been simultaneously building the talent management space. We already signed three to four artistes.” Artist Aloud managed to get Indie artistes to perform recently at the IAA Olive Crown Awards. “We will get artistes to play at such platforms and will sign many new artistes in the coming months. In the past five to six months, we have set foot in many areas which complement our existing businesses and help us grow.”

Artist Aloud is now a digital media, distribution, on ground and talent management platform, which provides a platform to budding talents through live gigs.
