IndiEarth Out There Gigs Nights

MUMBAI: After the success of IndiEarth Out There Season 1: The Chennai edition's episodes - which went viral in the online space and were featured across various radio, print and television media (including on Pepsi MTV Indies) - Season 2 shot in Bangalore continues on its mission to provide a platform for the diverse soundscapes of the country's rising independent music movement. Featuring a blend of the city’s artists from both ends of the spectrum – from burgeoning new talent to established pioneers of the independent music scene - the series offers a unique space intended at nurturing and supporting the rise of the independent in India.

The gig held at BFlat this past weekend featured Parvaaz showcasing a blend of their older material and fresh unreleased tracks, seamlessly blending genres like the blues together with experimental doses of psychedelia woven together with Urdu and Kashmiri lyrics.  The night was a full houseand saw a packed crowd of intently involved listeners – lining up with the gig property’s mission to provide platforms for new and experimental sounds, connecting these artists with wider audiences.

This Friday June 5th features pop/funk rock act Clown With A Frown – a troupe of musicians from Bangalore who draw their influences from acts like Chic, Kool And The Gang, and Jamiroquai. The young act’s line up consists of Rahul Joshua Thomas: (Trombone) Kavya Lakshminarayanan: (Trumpet) Jonathan Reuben: (Guitar) Abheet Anand: (Bass) Pradyun Manoj: (Keyboard) Keerthana Sudarshan: (Vocals) Hannah Elizabeth Mathews: (Vocals) Pramod Pratap: (Drums) Samson Philip: (Percussion) and Osi Gomango: (Bass).
