Live Nation Entertainment names Jordan Zachary as chief strategy officer

MUMBAI: Jordan Zachary has been appointed chief strategy officer by Live Nation Entertainment. He will report to president and CEO Michael Rapino. He previously served for The Raine Group before joining Live Nation.

In his new role, Zachary will look at growing the company further. As MD at The Raine Group, he played a key role in the recent Live Nation deals, including C3 Presents and the programming partnership with VICE, where he also holds board affiliations.

Zachary said, "Michael has built an unparalleled platform with tremendous assets, and today more than ever, Live Nation is positioned to shape the music industry. The Live Nation team is world-class, and I am excited about contributing to the company's continued growth and plan."

"As we continue to drive our global market share, bringing on Jordan who has deep expertise in the live music and media industries will help us accelerate the growth of our concerts flywheel and find additional ways to build our high margin on-site, advertising and ticketing businesses," said Rapino.

Zachary was involved at various mergers and acquisitions, capital raising transactions, and strategic assignments for clients in the media, entertainment and digital media industries, in his professional career. He also worked with the global media investment banking groups of Lehman Brothers as well as UBS Investment Bank.

Currently, Zachary is serving on the boards of Margaritaville and C3 Presents, and is an observer on the board of directors of Vice Media and Important Studios. He holds a B.A. from Colgate University.
