Bacardi NH7 Weekender dates announced

MUMBAI: News related to NH7 Weekender music festival has been highly anticipated. This year, the festival will premiere in Shillong, along with other cities such as Pune, Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata.

Starting in Shillong from 23 to 24 October, the festival will then go to ‘City of Joy’ Kolkata from 31 October to 1 November. Delhi will witness its fourth Weekender festival from 28 to 29 November. Pune will have the privilege of hosting a three-day festival starting from 4 to 6 December, as opposed to the other cities, which only have two-day festivals. The five-city festival finally wraps up in Bangalore where it will be held from 5 to 6 December. The festival is curated and organised by Only Much Louder (OML).

OML’s co-founder Vijay Nair earlier told Radioandmusic.com, “We had announced last year, that NH7 would be going to a new city – Shillong. The initial plan was to do it in February, but that got delayed to May because of issues with the venue. However, at this point, we are looking at doing it in October, along with the other cities.”

Nair further added, “It will be on the same scale and size as the other cities. There is no scaling down, nor any additional stages. Whenever we go to a new city, the idea is to just go around and feel the pulse of the city. That is something we do for every new city. In terms of venue and location, Shillong is turning out to be quite a fun project for us, because it is the one place we have been dying to get the festival to.”

Bacardi NH7 Weekender 2015 tickets are expected to go on sale at 8 pm on10 July.
