Goa Rhythm & Blues Festival called off

MUMBAI: Just a week before the second edition of the annual Goa Rhythm & Blues Festival kicked off, the organising entity Genesis Foundation has announced the plans to call off the event. The two-day event was supposed to be held on 11 and 12 November.

The team at the Foundation issued a statement claiming ‘unforeseeable circumstances’ resulted into this unexpected development. The second edition’s line-up featured Monali Thakur, Mario Serenaders, Soundarya Jayachandran, Muktesh Chander, Clear Blue Sky, Suraj Jagan, Kamakshi Khanna Collective, Prem Joshua & Band, Thermal And a Quarter.

The non-profit organisation executes two music festivals every year, and while its other property Kasauli Rhythm & Blues Festival concluded its fifth edition with no obstacles, the second edition of Goa Rhythm & Blues Festival could not experience a similar outcome. The reasons are still not confirmed, however, its certain than the second edition remains cancelled.
