Red Bull announces Tour Bus line-up; Nucleya returns

MUMBAI: The third edition of the Red Bull’s live music IP Tour Bus announced the line-up for the main event to be held at Hindu Gymkhana, Mumbai. Delhi-based music producer Nucleya features on the line-up for the second year in a row, with four other established music acts that would be performing #OffTheRoof for the first time.

A regular in mainstream film music, Benny Dayal would debut at Red Bull’s initiative with ‘Benny Dayal Funktuation’, and the musician’s often contribution to the alternative music scene makes him an interesting add to the ‘mix’. Joining the line-up will be renowned guitarist Warren Mendonsa’s ‘Blackstratblues’. With an impressive set of musicians – Jai Row Kavi (drummer, Indus Creed and Amit Trivedi), Bevan Fonseca (keyboards, Clinton Cerejo) and Adi Mistry (bass, Shankar Ehsaan Loy) – Blackstratblues has always been one of the ideal live acts, and the addition of the act fulfills the ‘Blues’ craving for the fans based in Mumbai.

Renowned multi-instrumentalist Karsh Kale’s project ‘Karsh Kale Soundsystem’ returns to Mumbai after almost a year. With Kale at the helm of the act’s sonic ideas, the Hindu Gymkhana would reverberate with some intense fusion music at its best. Ahmedabad-based post rock act ‘Aswekeepsearching’, too makes its debut on the roof. The band will soon turn three. Having extensively toured across the country, AWKP has garnered accolades for experimenting with an unpopular genre of music.

The five music acts represent five complete different genres, and although the number of artists on the line-up has reduced when compared to the previous two editions, the versatility in the genres has continued to remain the priority.

The event starts at 5 p.m. on 16 October, and the tickets are available at
