Renowned songwriter Savan Kotecha renews agreement with ASCAP

MUMBAI: Texas based songwriter Savan Kotecha, who wrote tracks like 'Love Me Like You Do’ (Ellie Goulding), 'If U Seek Amy’ (Britney Spears), 'Problem’ (Ariana Grande) and 'One More Night’ (Maroon 5), has renewed his agreement with American Society of Composers, Authors and Publisher (ASCAP).

Commenting on the renewal ASCAP, EVP of Membership, John Titta said, "Savan has already become one of the top songwriters of this era, and we are extremely proud to work with him at ASCAP. His ability to collaborate with so many different artists and to craft some of today’s biggest pop hooks, are proof of his incredible versatility and talent."

Kotecha said, "I love being an ASCAP member. Their support for me has been phenomenal and their dedication as an organisation is inspiring. From standing up for us in Congress to recognising songwriter achievements on every level, ASCAP is always in our corner."

In addition to writing some of the most popular tracks, the 'What Makes You Beautiful’ songwriter has also won two Billboard Music awards and nine ASCAP awards. Kotecha has also served as talent coach on UK and US seasons of 'The X Factor’ and has been the member of ASCAP since 2011.

Recently, ASCAP has also renewed its agreements with  Max Martin (Pink, Katy Perry, Britney Spears), 2 Chainz, Lenny Kravitz, Garth Brooks, The Doors, Rick James, Richie Sambora, Sara Bareilles, Diplo and several others.
