Spotify now available on PlayStation Music

MUMBAI: Since its entry in the Indian market in February 2019, Spotify has left no stone unturned to stay ahead of the game in the Indian market. And now it has good news for all those console gaming enthusiasts.

The soundscape of gaming has reached a new decibel in India, with Spotify on PlayStation Music becoming available since yesterday. This has given console gaming fans a chance to tune into their favourite tracks while tackling the adrenaline rush of fighting evil or scoring a goal on-screen.

Users can now access Spotify’s free service on PlayStation Music through the PS4 and PS3 system. Also, any user who hasn’t previously subscribed to Spotify Premium’s monthly subscription service is eligible to sign up for a free one month trial, which gives one access to ad-free high quality audio and more perks from Spotify. If you are an existing Spotify user, you can also link your Spotify account to PS Music compatible devices.

The ‘Spotify Connect feature’, which is available on the official Spotify app for Android/iOS users, will help PS4 and PS3 users in controlling music easily. One can select a playlist, skip songs, adjust the volume, and more. PS4 owners can also let friends and family know tracks they’re listening to using PS4’s share button feature.

Besides India, Spotify on PlayStation Music has also launched in parallel, in Colombia, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Lebanon.

Just a few weeks ago, as part of the Microsoft 10 Spring update, it was informed that Spotify is embedded within the Microsoft Game Bar on PC devices. This means that gamers on PCs have access to Spotify’s audio library without having to exit their game. Game Bar is available to all PC users globally running the Windows 10 May 2019 Update. Click here to know more about how this integration works.
