Paris Hilton to release collaborative single with LMFAO

MUMBAI: Paris Hilton is all set to release her collaborative single with LMFAO ‘After Midnight’ in the month of June.

Hilton will perform her new single at the Pop Music Festival on 23 June in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The heiress will make her public DJ debut with a closing performance at the fest which will also feature acts by other renowned artistes like Jennifer Lopez and Kelly Clarkson.

Ebonix and Five8 to perform at Hard Rock Cafe

MUMBAI: The progressive Delhi based rock bands Ebonix and Five8 will perform a mashup of some of their popular melodies on 17 May at Hard Rock Café.

Formed in 2008, Ebonix is a five-piece band comprising of Vaibhav Sahay (bass), Dhruv Malik (guitars), Vaibhav Chawla (vocals/guitars), Sargun Sethi (keyboards) and Karan Rampal (drums). Their music is broadly classified as a diverse mix of melodies and hard thumping beats and they are highly influenced by bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC/DC and Black Sabbath amongst others.

Short Code Council to regulate licensing for VAS

Rock band Sonic Flare to perform at HRC

MUMBAI: Bangalore based rock band Sonic Flare are all set to groove on 17 May at Hard Rock Café in the city.

The band will perform some of their popular blues and funk rock tracks oriented towards the 80’s.

Formed in 2002, the six-member band comprises of Nikhil Ponnanna (vocals), Priyanka Goswami (vocals), NeerajKhanna (guitars), Ajit Narayanan (bass), Vinay Raghavan (drums) and Kaushik Nath (keyboards).

Vh1 India to premiere Billboard Music Awards

MUMBAI: After premiering the coveted Golden Globe and Grammy Awards, Vh1 India is all set to air Billboard Music Awards 2012. The awards will telecast on 21 May at 6:30am with a repeat at 8pm.

The event will witness performances by Justin Bieber, LMFAO, Katy Perry, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez and Usher amongst others. The awards night will be hosted by Emmy award-winning TV couple Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell.

Big FM partners Western Railways for social campaign

MUMBAI: Big FM has initiated a social campaign in partnership with Western Railways and Humanitarian Welfare & Research Foundation to create awareness about safe railway travel, highlighting the issues of rooftop travel and track crossing amongst commuters.

Titled 'Safety Manao Life Banao', the campaign will see RJ Ankit hosting the breakfast show from a mobile radio studio at Dadar station from 7-11am every morning, until he gets a minimum of 9270 volunteers to support the cause and spread awareness.
