Wayne Sharpe -"Lahore is the most authentic Indian sports film to date"

He is a regular in the Prakash Jha's stable having given the background scores for his earlier flicks Gangaajal for which he even grabbed a Filmfare Award and Apaharan. New York based musician Wayne Sharpe is back to the Bollywood music circuit with Sanjay Puransingh Chauhan's 'Lahore' which is doing its rounds in the International Film Festivals and is releasing in India on 19 March.

Among the few musicians who have worked with legendary singers like Nustrat Fateh Ali Khan, is Pakistan based singer/songwriter Mahmood Khan. An upcoming songwriter, who struck it gold by scoring 'Like a River' on Australian Pop charts (ARIA), Mahmood Khan is known for his unique sound. The singer-composer has also had his brush with Bollywood when he accused the makers of the Sanjay Dutt- Jackie Shroff starrer Kartoos (1999) for lifting his composition 'Teri Yaad' sung by Nustrat Fateh Ali Khan.

Swedish singer - songwriter Meja was on a short India tour recently. She performed at the popular Mood Indigo Fest and city's live music hot spot Blue Frog, besides giving a memorable unplugged performance at the NCPA Theatre in Mumbai. Though she was was not in the best of her health as she suffered from a Pneumonia bout and a sprained ankle, Meja nevertheless impressed music lovers with her 'take it easy' style of singing.

Guitarist John Mclaughlin is perhaps one of the most mischievous musicians you will ever come across. Born in Doncaster (England), Mclaughlin's muscial career goes back to the 60s (that's five decades of playing music!!) Brother in law, and long time music producer of Lucky Ali, Micheal Mcleary recently debuted as a composer through a children’s film Aao Wish Kare. Though this soft-spoken musician has worked with many big-wigs like Rahman and Salim Sulaiman, it took him a while to break into the bollywood music scene. The film Aao wish kare may not have garnered much success at the box office, but the music of the film did sound different than the usual mix.
