MUMBAI: The golden era was recreated in its full splendour last Saturday night when Mumbai's hottest radio station, Radio Mirchi held a special screening of the classic film Guide at PVR, Goregaon for its Mirchi listeners thus flagging off the â€?Purani Jeans Film Festival' which will continue for four consecutive weeks, showcasing a classic film every Saturday night 

The main guest of the evening was none other than everyone's beloved Dev Saab who had come again to witness the epic journey of Raju, the guide's life that traces his love, ambition and sacrifice for the sake of others. A nostalgic Dev Saab, dressed in his usual youthful self, said, Each and every moment of �Guide' remains special and close to my heart. Radio Mirchi has done a commendable job in bringing alive the magic of the yesteryears in a unique way....

Also making the event special, were other Bollywood personalities who were present there – Madhur Bhandarkar, Jackie Shroff, Manoj Bajpayee, Amrita Rao, Arjun Bajwa, Bhanu Atthaiya who all professed their love for the film. The atmosphere inside the auditorium was electrifying. Mirchi listeners were honoured to be watching the film along with Dev Saab himself. From its melodic compositions by S.D Burman to its legendary performance of the famous lead pair - Dev Anand and the elegant Waheeda Rehman – they were still an absolute favourite with everyone, going by the audience's reaction!
