Adam Levine makes acting debut in Begin Again

MUMBAI: Maroon 5 frontman and People's magazine's Sexiest Man Alive 2013, Adam Levine, will make his silver screen debut in a new Hollywood rom-com Begin Again. Levine's fans will see him play the role of a rock star in the film, which is slated to release in 2014.

A heavily bearded Levine (Dave), after moving to New York City with his college sweetheart and songwriting partner Keira Knightly (Greta), is forced to leave her when he is signed on by a major record label.

The film is about a disgraced record label executive (Mark Ruffalo) who forms a bond with a young singer-songwriter (Knightley) new to Manhattan. It is a soul-stirring comedy about what happens when lost souls meet and make beautiful music together, set to the soundtrack of a summer in New York City.

On the other hand, Pirates of the Caribbean actor Keira Knightly, reveals a surprisingly good singing voice. Viewers will get a glimpse of the British actor's vocal abilities in the trailer of the film. In the film, Knightley jams with Ruffalo and CeeLo Green in New York City.

However, it is Levine and CeeLo who bring the pop to the table. Cee Lo Green, fellow judge on The Voice US, also makes a cameo appearance in the trailer, where he plays himself.

The film was formerly titles 'Can A Song Change Your Life?'The soundtrack is given by Gregg Alexander, American singer-songwriter and producer and frontman of the New Radicals, an American alternative rock band.
