Palash Muchhal enters Guinness Book as Bollywood's youngest composer

MUMBAI: Since the release of 'Tu Hi Hai Aashiqui' from the film 'Dishkiyaoon', Palash Muchhal, has become rather popular in B-town. His latest track 'Party Toh Banti Hai' from 'Bhootnath Returns' has received some great responses as well. With this, the 18 year old is now registered in the Guinness Book of World Record as the youngest composer in Bollywood.

"It obviously feels good to have that record. The certificate will come from US the next week," said Muchhal. Talking about the songs, 'Party Toh Banti Hai' and 'Tu Hai Aashiqui', he said, "I am happy to get such an amazing response. The best part is that both songs have come out at an interval of 15-20 days and both of them are from different genres, so people know I am versatile."

For him age is not the criteria to be successful. "There was a point in time when I had stopped revealing my age to producers, since they would be unsure of my talent," he explained. The biggest moment for him came when Amitabh Bachchan posed for a selfie with him. "At the success party of 'Bhootnath Returns', Amitabh sir came to me and posed for a selfie with me. The best part was that he remembered that I had done a movie, 'Khele Hum Jee Jaan Se' with Abhishekh," he reminisced.

Currently Muchhal has been juggling his composing duties and is also preparing for his exams. "I have an Economics paper on Friday. The first paper was good but I really need to sit and study for the paper on Friday," he concluded.
