Shreya Ghoshal's first ghazal album

MUMBAI: Right before the night from turning 30, songstress Shreya Ghoshal celevrated her birthday in style by taking a bold steps of venturing into an arena of Ghazala as she launched her first non-film album 'Humnasheen'.

On the occasion of the launch she said that she was always a fan of ghazals and has taken a step as a youngster in the film industry. 'This step is definitely a giant leap of my musical career as I always loved ghazalas. Even our younger generations enjoy listening to Ghulam Ali Sahab and Pankajji. So I being one of the youngster in this industry I thought of this project, ' explained Shreya Ghoshal to Radioandmusic.com's Dhairya Ingle.

The beautiful singer is very happy for doing a non film projects as this gives her the freedom to use his voice without keeping in mind the commercial aspect of the song. Being a Bengali she has worked hard on her Hindi and Urdu diction. She has thanked all those who have helped her.

"Diction needs to be very clear. I am a Bengali, but I was brought up in Rajasthan and that's why my Hindi is good. "My tilt towards Urdu happened only after I entered the film industry. There are so many talented lyricists and composers from whom I learnt something every day. I have learnt music from Kalyanji (composer) and he also told me how important diction is," said Ghoshal.
