Aditi Sharma: Good music makes me emotional

MUMBAI: She already created buzz with the title track of 'Dhoom 3' this year and now she is back with her latest track 'Gulcharrey' from the film Bewakoofiya. The track is composed by Raghu Dixit along with Sharma, while Benny Dayal has rendered vocals for the song.

"I have worked with Benny and Raghu, and it was good fun to work with them. In fact I was asked to be myself and create a fun element in the song, which generally happens especially when Raghu and I catch up," said Sharma to Radioandmusic.com. The song was recorded in one take and she did not have to sing the scratch of the same.

She also has a song in the film 2 States, for which the music is composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy (SEL). "When it comes to working with SEL, they are the coolest people to work with as they allow you to be yourself," opined Sharma.

When asked how the upcoming year is shaping up for her, she said that she can never plan her life. "This year I have started performing at award ceremonies, which was one big leap so a lot of things are changing for me. Like initially I wanted to do a romantic song and I was not getting anything in that genre, which is when I turned towards other genres and suddenly 'Rabta' happened to me," narrated an ardent fan of Ranbir Kapoor and Sharukh Khan. Performing for the latter at the Mirchi Music Awards was the most memorable experience for her.

Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal happen to be her idols from the music industry. "They are all so good and when I see them performing on stage. I almost start crying. Good music makes me emotional. The same thing happened to me when I saw Arijit Singh performing on the stage," she laughed.

Sharma's last track 'Pinacolada' featured in the Pavan Kirpalani directed film 'Darr @ the Mall' which hit theatres last month.
