Tribute to Late Pt. Prabhakar Chary by Trilok Gurtu, Sivamani, Louiz Banks , Sheldon DÆ Silva, and Ravi Chary on 6th February 2014 at Nehru Centre

MUMBAI: Percussion Maestro Trilok Gurtu and percussion genius Sivamani are coming together for the first time ever, along with Jazz Legend Louis Bank’s, Sheldon D’silva on Bass Guitar and Ravi Chary on Sitar at "Vandan", a unique classical concert, organized to pay tribute to Late Pt. Prabhakar Chary in Mumbai on 6th February 2014 at Nehru Centre, Worli at 7.30 p.m.

"Late Pt. Prabhakar Chary was an accomplished musicologist and an artiste of distinct repute who propagated the love for classical music in India" says his son Ravi Chary and adds "The Prathisthan was founded in his memory, which offers a platform to upcoming and established musicians in Hindustani music and dance across India. It also gives scholarships to musicians."

"I am grateful to Trilok Gurtu, Sivamani , Louiz Banks sir and Sheldon D’ Silva all these great musicians who readily accepted my invitation to honor my father’s memory and are coming together on this occasion" says Ravi Chary.

As an eclectic mix of musicians, they will present various facets of music through their magical performances, promising an unforgettable music fiesta for Mumbaikar's to remember forever.

Vandan has been organized by The Event Company & Ginger PR who say that their effort has always been to bring such rare concerts to the music connoisseurs.
