Anirudh Ravichander embroiled in legal troubles yet again

MUMBAI: 23 year old composer, Anirudh Ravichander, who rose to fame with the track 'Kolaveri Di' is currently facing a legal mess for allegedly uploading a music video with vulgar lyrics. The Madras High Court, on Wednesday directed the police to register a case against him. S Jebadas Pandian had filed a petition against Ravichander for uploading the video on YouTube.

The track is apparently full of degrading lyrics and according to Pandian, it is unacceptable. He claimed that it could have an adverse effect on society and could be offensive to public morality. In addition to this, Ravichander has allegedly uploaded the video on Youtube without being permitted by the Cinematographer Act.

The music video went viral on 16 January, and since then has received flak from several members of the society, including the general public. As a result, the video was removed.

"I had filed a police complaint on 20 January, but no action was taken for many days. Therefore, I decided to file this petition," he added.

Ravichander has previously composed music for Tamil films such as 'Ethir Neechal' and 'Vanakkam Chennai'.

This is not the first time the composer has been involved in legal trouble. Prior to this the composer apparently, took an advance payment for the Nazryia-Dulquer- starrer 'Vaaya Moodi Pesavum' and then refused to score music for the film.
