MUMBAI: Radio One launches a three week contest, 'Mumbai ki awaaz' on Good Morning Mumbai and Horn ok please from May 5 to May 26.

Talking about the new show, Radio One station head-west Raj Gopal Iyer says, "Radio One calls it the Station for the Fataafat Generation. Mumbai and life-in-Mumbai are big connecting points between our programmers and audiences. That's the inspiration behind this property Mumbai Ki Awaz Ka Raaz we've just launched."

In Mumbai ki awaaz, the caller would be randomly selected on air and he/she has to identify the mundane sounds of Mumbai played on air. Rewards would be given out to the correct answers but if the caller is unable to answer correctly, the price money would be carried forward to the second caller in addition to his own allotted price money. Radio One also plans to reward every caller who succeeds in getting on-air with a prize.

The contest will be heavily promoted on air, in print, through outdoor media and direct advertising. RJ mentions and promotional messages throughout the day on Radio One are to be supplemented by impact covers and full page ads in the Mid Day. A heavy outdoor media campaign includes bus backs and billboards as well as presence on kiosks at fame multiplex and Mega Mall, and an SMS campaign reaching a target group of 50,000 and banner ads on Radio One's site will complete the campaign.
