Radio
One plans to stand out from the existing stations in
the city by playing only Bollywood songs. The core audience
of the station is in the age group of 20-30 years, in
a city known increasingly for its BPO and IT culture.
Radio
One station head west Raj Gopal Iyer says, "We
will add a local flavour by letting local RJs on air.
The RJ would be well versed with the local lingo and
the local scenario, which would let our audience connect
well with the station."
Programming
will be similar to Radio One stations in Mumbai and
Ahmedabad, say station officials. Radio One is scheduled
to launch in Kolkata in a year.
