94.3 MY FM's 17 stations made a deep impact on the peoples psyche about urgency
to conserve environment for their own survival and well being. My FM's main activities
on this important day included bicycle rallies, tree plantation drive, Say No
to Plastic Bags drive. 94.3 MY FM Bhopal did a unique connect with its listeners
on the day. The winners of different on air contests were given away plants as
gifts. It symbolized that apart from conserving environment by planting a tree
the relationship between MY FM and its listeners shall grow along with these plants
and would remain stable despite all odds. MY FM Bhopal also arranged a bicycle
rally in association with the City's Cycling Club -- the Green Planet Bicycle
Riders Association.

FM Indore station arranged a children's painting competition, where the children
did very imaginative paintings to highlight the importance of environment conservation.The
children also took part in a plantation drive led by the city Mayor. The Jaipur
station discussed the LPG cylinder's price hike and its impact on environment.
Nagpur and other MY FM stations held discussions on environment-related issues
and aired expert comments. 94.3
MY FM used this occasion to create awareness about preserving the environment's
sanctity and popularise different environmental friendly modes of transport and
other day to day activities. The virtues of cycling as an environment friendly
and healthy mode of transport were also extolled on air.
MY FM Jaipur's popular
programme Masti Ki Pathshala asked the listeners to make their confessions on
how do they waste papers (during their exams, or homework etc.) In the evevning
time, OB jock will go to shopping areas with Paper Bags and ask people who are
carrying their stuff in plastic bags to put it in the paper bags. Mr.
Harrish M. Bhatia, COO, MY FM, said, "94.3 MY FM has been making conscious
efforts to move beyond being a pure entertainment station. Our World Environment
Day activities are a part of such initiatives. Various My FM stations are doing
a whole lot of activities like bicycle rallies, tree plantation drive, Say No
to Plastic Bags drive, to create awareness about preserving environment and promoting
