part of the initiative, Nokia and Big Music will run a month long contest during
which the listeners can remix two sound tracks, 'Gulfisha' and 'Gum Sum' on Nokia
XpressMusic mixer application.
The
winner of the month long contest will avail the opportunity to spend a day with
Rahman and compose the remix in his studio. The remix wil further be released
through a music video that would profile the winner and the musical legend along
with the top ten finalists. Sarup
added, "The Nokia Xpress mixer application is available online; music lovers
can either download on their computer or on their cellphones or remix the two
pre-loaded tracks of Ada." At
the event to launch the initiative, Rahman said, "Times are changing and
the involvement of listeners with the music is more, so this experiment will click
with them where they stand a chance to remix my composition. There is a change
in the way music is perceived today and music is becoming interactive and so I
am giving a license to the listeners to remix two of my tracks."  "Nokia
and Big Music have come up with an innovative concept and I am looking forward
to see how the listeners interpret my music and give it a new form", added
Rahman.
Big
Music CEO Kulmeet Makkar said, "We are glad to have been associated with
